The Radio Days Big Band are currently looking for a tenor sax to join the band for rehearsals and gigs.


A bit about us ……

Radio Days rehearse on Monday evenings, term time only, from 8 until 10 ish in Oxford. We are a group of musicians who all enjoy playing swing dance music from the 1930s - 1960s.

We only meet for a couple of hours a week so we try to work hard during this time however it's not all work and no play; we do like to have fun as we go!


What we are looking for …….

We require a tenor sax who is a competent reader of music and who is happy to play written solos; can read chords and also improvise to a good standard. Ideally you should also be able to play flute and clarinet.

We are a gigging band so you will need to be available for private and public performances. We appreciate that not every musician can make every gig so we do have a deps list.

Other than this you must enjoy big band music and have a sense of humour!
